lower the float level is the only way. You still might have a small problem with flooding but not as bad.

Re: HELP CRF100 floods carb in wheelie

shut your gas off for wheelies

should be enough in the lines/carb to last about 2 minutes beforey o ugotta turn the gas back on....

thats the only way I can ever get my friends crf100, or my 150f to run at low rpm in wheelies...

Re: HELP CRF100 floods carb in wheelie

Just put it a little towards the off side, not half way. It worked real well on my 150

I could never get it to be perfect

It would either die while on idle at 12, or it would lean out under hard acceleration from being too far closed.

Not to mention, trying to find that sweet spot, 30 times a day would be a pain

But I always here people suing your method nags, and swearing by it.. But on my 50, friends 100, and my 150, I can't EVER get it to be shutoff half way, and run right on 12

I always have way better luck just shuting it completely off

Re: HELP CRF100 floods carb in wheelie

I ride a 180cc carburetor bike. These days my wheelies are going very high and the bike just shuts off. I read the above posts. I need to try the float setting. I dont know much of bikes mechanism. What do i tell my mechanic to adjust ? should i ask him to "increase the float" ? "decrease the float" ?
please advice

Tell him to "lower the float height a couple mm"

Tell him you want there to be less fuel in the carb.

Although its fairly easy to do yourself, takes about 30 minutes from start to finish, only need a few basic tools (allen wrench, screw drivers) and a milimeter ruler
