installing music

ive been selected by my group to put together our video and im wondering about the music part of it will i be in any copy rights if i use music off of and album like a creed song and if so how do ya go about getting the ok to use music

or am i beter off having a local band make songs for us?????

um well im goin through the same delima right now on one hand u have popular music (u used creed as an example) u can just use there stuff and take a chance on bein sued (lawyers are expensive). or u can try and get permission (usually just as expensive as the lawyers). Or u can get some good local bands that are willin most times to do it for free fro the exposure! another hint for yah go to the web site www.iuma.com this site has thousands on bamnds in every music genre and the best part is u can down load their mp3s to here a sample of their music. Then when u find some u like start e-mailing them. thats what i am doin now!

I often wonder about that when watching a stunt flick. The starboys use local bands , but urban assult , LVX , and judgement day all use accomplished bands songs. I wonder if DISTURBED know how many videos use their songs
