Re: Tragic R1 accident in Europe...

Thats just disturbing, makes you realize that life is short and easy to lose when you ride a bike. It's like a reality check. I know that when I'm going fast I feel unstoppable, almost immortal. It's good to see stuff like that because it gives you a reality check. RIP

u never EVER pull a rider's helmet off after a bad accident. even the medics wont a lot of the time. sometimes your lid is all that's keeping your head together literally.

Re: Tragic R1 accident in Europe...

very disturbing,
don't know why people put this stuff online..or even find the urge to take out there cam's and record what just happend..
on the other hand, Like a couple of people said, its a reality check.
this just shows how vunerable you are when riding a bike, or just plain participation in traffic. Some people need to see this I guess, see what can happen to you. It does'nt have to be you're own stupid mistake, someone else can make a terribe mistake too.
many times I hear bikers talk about other motorists don't pay attention to them, they don't see 'em or whatever, this is sometimes true, many times I've had close calls too, because of other bad drivers. But sometimes on sunny days I see guys riding, and I think to myself "what do you expect, when you are doing like 120 km's an hour, where 80 is the maximum?" (A bike is a relativly small object, so it is badly visible sometimes) or take over where there is no room (for errors) this summer I was in the French Alps, people on all sorts of bikes where driving up and down these nice & twisty roads. I know, this is fun, I like my fair bit of fast cornering too, but keep in mind, there is no room for error there, other people don't expect you to go that fast, and I saw a lot of people make risky take overs, or corner like they where all alone on a circuit, being on the wrong side of the road and stuff..
I don't want to sound like a damn cop or something, but hey, why take stupid risks, think about it, always keep in mind what can happen to you, no matter what.

that car was just folded, not to mention the bike, there was just nothing left..
It is just shocking to see what can happen..

Look at the way traffic flows!! Your correct in saying it happens all the time. The thing that strikes me is that his homeboys never handed out giant size cans of "woop-ass" to the driver and possibly drunk and coked up passengers who probably sat there and said nothing to alert the jack ass behind the wheel that another vehicle was approaching !!
I remember one of my first post here was "slow it down" everyone kicked me in the ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
